Hidden gem in a little Parisian street
Solar Hotel was an excellent place of accommodation for us in Paris. It was only a 5-10min walk to the nearest train station, making getting around by foot or train simple. We stayed on the top floor of Solar Hotel’s second building about 200m away from the main complex, however there was absolutely nothing wrong with that. The room was small but in decent condition, with everything that you require and it’s eco-friendly! But I must say the best thing about this place is the breakfast they provide. Class Parisian, with coffee/tea, juice, fresh baguette, croissant and yoghurt along with jams and butter. For the price and location alone, this place is a great spot, especially for those on a tighter budget!

Good location, around 30 mins to Eiffel by metro. There are markets and cafes around. Also close to Orlybus stop if you fly to Orly. No wifi at room and very slow on lobby.

well worn hotel in lovely area with good service
The room was compact, but that is expected. The air conditioning was most welcome in a heatwave. The bathroom was a little small, with a poorly arranged shower stall which was too narrow and which let water all over the bathroom floor. The overall condition was tidy but worn. Breakfast was adequate. Staff was helpful and friendly

Some units of this property have AC but doesn’t turn them on unless the temp is in 30 degree centigrade which feels like 100 degree in us. When I booked this hotel I searched property with ac. It was rip off. It was so hot and we were on a non ac property. The staffs were nice enough to give a fan, but was not enough for the heat.... be careful while booking the property.

Not clean but conveniently located
I guess for the price it wasn’t bad, but I cannot say much about the cleanliness. There was a bobbie pin on the floor of the bathroom when we arrived and it moved to the floor outside the bathroom the next day and was in a groove under the door the next. The shower was so small that anyone slightly overweight would not be able to turn around in it. The water pressure was so low that a shower took me at least twice as long as usual. I liked that the window opened onto the courtyard and the light breakfast was nice. Location was our primary reason for booking since it’s very near the entrance to the Catacombs and we didn’t want to pay outrageous fees for reserved entrance. The bed was surprisingly comfortable but the toilet was not- one side literally touched the side of the shower!!
