Great place and great location!

Good for price
Good hotel for price. Disappointed they didn’t have a pillow for the pull away bed. They suggested using a (I’m sure very unclean/unwashed) chair decor pillow. Gross.

Very good 8.0
We were on a trip to visit historic sites and the room was fine for that purpose. There were not to many food options near the hotel.

Excellent place for enjoying Beijing
Very comfortable hotel and good sized room. Staff were really helpful and the area is good - about a ten minute walk to dongsi subway station

Wouldn't recommend this hotel
We arrive to the hotel around 9pm, and discovered we got a smoking room although we asked for non-smoking. After changing our room, we got some other (non-smoking) room although it smelled of smoke as well. The worst thing was that the air condition didn't work! We complained, and the next day they said it was fixed but our room was still hot as a sauna. When we complained again, they told us its a central air conditioning (In an hotel ?!) and that they will try to turn down the degrees from the main board. They offered us to open a window - "Beijing isn't so hot today" - ridiculous... We spent two nights, no air condition, and to top that no one in the lobby speaks English, it was all through google translate. The room itself was clean other than that, but the location is pretty bad as it is located between two pretty far metro stations. (10+ min walking to each). I wouldn't come back nor recommend this hotel.

Good 6.0
Slightly above average hotel - 6/10
Review of Deluxe King room -40m2 Pros: - King size bed, very comfortable - Room size is big, with full size window across the room (but the view is nothing much) - Toiletries provided are good - Room service everyday Cons: - Room comes with a fabric sofa set, seems dirty as stains are visible. Both my partner and I has itch all over our body if we sat on the sofa. - Room wardrobes has strong coconut oil smell - We are unable to control the air conditional during our entire stay, centralize temperature settings. Hotel front desk did not inform us about the centralize temperature, so during the first few days, we kept adjusting the airconditional remote in the room only to know that it was useless. On the 3rd day, we called the front desk only to be informed that the air conditional remote is not working, and advise us to open the window (2 small windows on a 40m2 room) at the side. Doesn't help much as temperature in the room sometimes rose up to 28 degree Celsius. - Walking distance to nearest subway (dongsi station) - 10-15 mins - Not much activities around the hotel except a steamboat restaurant opposite which opens until 11pm (12pm on weekends) - Bathroom door is translucent, so if travel with friends or adult family members is not convenient. Overall, this hotel is more suitable for solo business traveler.

Fair 4.0
OK hotel, but noisy rooms and dirty local area
Hotel itself was of a high standard. Although the surrounding area is quite dirty, it is within walking distance to the hutongs and around a 40 minute walk to the Forbidden City. It's more of a hotel for locals, with very little English spoken. I complained three times about the noise from a neighbouring room and it was very difficult to find a resolution.

Good hotel, would recommend and come back
Solid hotel stay! Not all the staff speaks English, but at least they are patient and skillful at using translation apps on their phones. 24 hour concierge was great. Whenever I asked them to reserve me a cab, a taxi would reliably be there on time. My room was cleaned every day and cleaned well, with nothing stolen. The location isn't right next to anything major, but close to some delicious local food shops as well as ~20 minute walking distance to some major attractions There are two bad things: (1) security is not that great. in the sense that I asked for an extra room key, they asked me for my room number, and handed me a room key immediately, without checking ID at all. (2) There was a surprise cash deposit upon checking in
