    Casa Hemingway is wonderful. The beach is really nice, clean, and well cared for. The restaurants are good, and the one on the ocean is just amazing. Good food and the view, the olace, its great. My only issues were with the hot water in our room. The water temperature would fluctuate from super hot to super cold, and then go cold. It was hard to get even 10 min showers. Otherwise, love it and will be back.

    The two bedroom apartment was compact but perfect for 4 and had an amazing deck with morning sun and afternoon shade overlooking a pool. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast selection was good. We had dinner one night at the Embracadero restaurant over the water. Outstanding setting and great food. The kitchen was small and had a microwave/convection oven where as we were expecting an oven so we cooked tuna one night but bought vegetables and rice from the dining room which worked out well.

    Casa Hemingway is a gorgeous small hotel that's part of a larger beach-side complex that includes four restaurants -- including one way out in the ocean on a beautiful pier! It's a perfect quick getaway, less than half an hour from the airport. The room (actually a suite) was perfectly appointed, modern, comfortable and un-futzy, and the service everywhere was beyond friendly and super responsive, everything we asked for was provided. The beach is clean, with plenty of seating and shade, and the pools are lovely and proximate. It's a gem, we will absolutely be going back!

    This place is extremely relaxing. I think I may have seen like 5 other people at the hotel and just a few people at the beach. If you feel like socializing, dancing or crave the experience offered at all inclusive DR hotels, this is not the place for you. If you want solitude and some sun; the beach, beautiful overwater restaurant and the balcony in the rooms are great. The negatives: Although I TRULY enjoyed my stay, they don't have enough to do there. The purpose of my trip was to relax but there is literally nothing to do. They would benefit from building a spa or having a bar by one of their pools to enjoy a drink in the evening.
