Palatial stay
One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. From the breakfast, to the turndown service, to the plentiful seating by the pool, this hotel is absolutely wonderful. The bed is like a cloud, the air conditioning actually works and the staff are second to none. I hope to stay here again. Minor point - the check in experience was a bit of a mess.

Even better second time around.
After several false starts we finally got round to going back to the Miramar where we had been so impressed the first time we stayed there in 2021, when masks were still mandatory and we ended up having to get covid tests before we could go home. We were half-expecting to be disappointed, but this time was better than ever. My brother and his wife, whom we had brought with us as a golden wedding present, loved their garden room, and we loved our suite even more. In the course of fifty years travelling around Spain, this has to be the best hotel we have stayed in. They simply cannot be faulted on anything. Location : as perfect as you are going to get. Across the road from the beach and five minutes’ walk to the town centre through the rose gardens at the foot of the Moorish Alcazaba. Reception : fast, efficient, friendly and helpful, with staff speaking perfect English who still bore patiently with my halting Spanish, and had us in our room within minutes. Accommodation : positively sumptuous in our spacious suite, which was beautifully fitted out with everything you could want including free wifi, water and chocolates supplied daily, and a bottle of Cava and bowl of fruit waiting on arrival. The beds were superbly comfortable too, and everything worked. Food: breakfast was sumptuous, with cereals, fruit, lots of cold cuts and salads and all the usual hot dishes, including some of the best scrambled eggs ever tasted. But what really stands out at the Miramar is the service
