Relaxing stay at Duchauville (Akaroa).
The property was about a 10 min drive to the township of Akaroa. There was a pub that served meals next door as well as a General Store less than a 5 min walk. The owners were very generous in loaning us an electric fry pan which was really useful for our breakfasts during our 5 nights stay. We had previously been to Akaroa and loved the whole area and wanted a relaxing stay which this property provided. All units/rooms have uninterrupted views of the hills and seaside bay of Duchauville which is very peaceful and relaxing to return "home" to. Each morning we walked around the bay which we probably would not have done if we had stayed in the town centre. The couple who operate the facility were always on-site and were very obliging and pleasant to talk to. For the cost of this facility, we believe it represents outstanding value. We would certainly consider returning to this property in the future.
