Very good 8.0
Comfortable and good value for money
The modern queen room (on the 20th floor) had all we needed for our 6 night stay. The bed was comfy (if not a little too firm), the washing machine/dryer (with a packet of complimentary powder) was very handy, and there was a full kitchen. The room was relatively quiet - we didn't hear people in neighbouring rooms or get street noise but there was an intermittent hum that my partner noticed (not sure this would be any different at another hotel though). The shower was great but we had to mop up water off the bathroom floor afterwards even though it had a glass door. If we were being picky the place could've been cleaned more thoroughly. Nothing alarming - bedding, towels etc were clean but there were crumbs under the microwave and when we mopped up the water off the bathroom floor the towel was a little dirty. We checked out the gym but despite best intentions we never used it. For a hotel it looked quite good - you could certainly create a good workout with the gear. The location was great - we had a view over a park, and it was just a short walk to the free city tram, Vic market and about 5 blocks away from the Docklands area (which is lovely for a walk or run). The Jazz Cafe was almost next door (the Oaks was next door) and was very handy for a good coffee. They also did breakfasts but we didn't eat there. Overall we thought it was good value for money.

Needs a good clean.
An unassuming little hotel, away from the crowds somewhat but with excellent travel links bang outside the door. Easy walk to most places with Victoria Market on your doorstep. The room itself has a cracking view down to docklands and was plenty spacious and well equipped with washer/dryer, stove etc. There were some issues with cleaning i.e. the hall carpet was vacuumed once a week (we played chase the cotton tip from our room out into the hall over 3 days) there were a few dirty marks on the walls and the shower head was pretty loose. Also, there were some pretty strong cooking smells on occasion but that should be expected seeing as some of the apartments are longer term. To be honest, minor issues in the grand scheme but issues all the same. Apart from that, for the price it was a pretty good deal and the staff were on form all the time.

Great value
Not a bad place at all with a great view of the park, handy location and lovely staff. However the room decor was a tad tired and bathroom not quite as clean as it could be.

Comfortable and Convenient Melbourne Accommodation
The hotel room was spacious and extremely comfortable. The sliding doors from the lounge and bedroom led to a balcony with spectacular views over the Docklands area from the 28th floor. When taking the SkyBus from the airport, this hotel is near the first stop on the connecting free hotel shuttle. The tram stop was really close by. The nearest medium sized supermarket was about 10 minutes walk.
