Beautiful hotel overlooking Lake
Fabulous experience. Worth the expense to stay here. The dinner and breakfast buffet was amazing and we loved having a tub on our balcony. Best hotel experience in Japan.

Great hotel!
Took extra 1.5 hour to get to the hotel due to suspension of the 箱根湯本至 強羅電車. The hotel is very nice and close to some attractions, depending what you want to see. Breakfast and dinner was good, but limited choices. Onsen is facing lake Ashinoko with good facilities (Dyson air dryers, facial cleaning lotions, moisturiser, iced green tea, etc). Hotel offers free shuttle to Odawara. Approx 45 mins. It was so convenient especially on a rainy weather. Need to pre-book. I wish I knew earlier!

Amazing place, amazing part of Japan
The hotel was clean and had everything we needed was there. The private Onsen was amazing and recommended. The public onsen was clean too, with very clear guidelines on how to clean before going into the open air bath. The hotel is far from the train station and the bus ride is bumpy and long. All worth it in the end. Got great value in the Hakone Free Pass. So look at buying that before you grab the bus.

Beautiful Hotel
Beautiful hotel that's a bit hard to get to. The ropeway was down when we went. But the bus was an adequate substitute. The private onsen on the patio was well worth the extra cost. A very relaxing experience, including excellent food.

Amazing place to stay!
Beautiful property! Very clean and friendly staff! Easy access by express buses from Tokyo. The food was amazing and baths were very clean. The property was located right next to Ashinoko Lake. The view from the hotel was spectacular!
