Everything was “5 Stars” from the first check-in to the late check-out that was graciously offered. There’s no other place in Cluj that comes close to the quality of the hotel Platinia. Easy (free) parking and breakfast included, added to the great experience.

A very friendly staff team was very helpful with everything we needed. We even used the hotel for getting a confirmation code to order a late meal from glovo when our foreign number was rejected. We enjoyed the breakfast that was served and the restaurant staff was superb. As we needed to check out while at the same time we only had our flight in the evening the hotel kept our luggage safe while we toured the city. It was also a great thing that the rear door of the hotel leads straight into a modern and air conditioned shopping mall. Last but not least, the hotel room was huge and so was the king size bed. A lovely apartment suite! Would have preferred flatter pillows though but that’s our preference!

Overall the property is very nice and the room very comfortable. The location is very noisy as rooms face an incredibly busy boulevard. So expect lots of car traffic day and night and a lot of exhaust. The property itself is well maintained. The moment you step outside, the pick up and drop off area is treated like it does not belong to it: dead leaves everywhere and weeds growing. There is no valet to park the car or bring the car. I find that strange for a 5 star property and the parking lot is very very tight. Lastly, I did my laundry which was a very expensive service - same as you would pay at any 5 star hotel in a big city anywhere. The laundry came back wrinkled, socks missing, my shirts and dresses not pressed. When I brought this issue to the attention of the staff they deflected any responsibility and put blame on a outside service provider… I was disappointed to say the least. I was not offered a solution and having the in-house housekeeping steam my clothes was not an option. The hotel does not offer that service. Again, this is not a 5 star property in my book: the prices yes, the services offered no.
