DON’T BOOK THIS ONE. It was a total mistake to stay in here for 4 days. First, it was ODOROUS. Because every capsule was stayed closed, there was no ventilation. The capsule smelled like the mixture of odor of the previous guests. Second, it WASN’T SOUNDPROOF at all. I stayed in the bottom of the bunk bed, and every time the person using the upper bed tossed and turned, I woke up. Even a slight single toss made a big thunder-like noise. I asked to change my bed, but the hotel desk refused. They said all they could do was telling the upper bunk guest to stop move. Third, the TOILET was dirty and too small. Once I had a chance to observe their toilet cleaning process, and it was too quick. The trash outside of the bin was not removed for days. And the size of the sink was too small. Whenever I tried to brush my teeth and wash my face, my whole T-shirt got wet because the sink was small. I definitely regret my decision to stay in here. I wanted to change the hotel after I ruined my first night in here, but they said it was not refundable. The manager was not in the hostel, but (s)he sounded very rude whenever the receptionist contacted her/him. I have stayed in various hostels around the world, but I have never seen a hostel like this. Once again, AVOID HERE. Find another one in Sydney.

For $48 you can’t complain too much. Was a little dirty though in the ammenities.

Would stay again
Fabulous location on George Street, great, simple accommodation, very buzzy, clean, and extremely comfortable, probably not for the claustrophobic

Good but can be better.
Great location. Clean and friendly service. The place could do with a few improvements that will make it a little more comfortable. The toilets and showers are tiny. I mean tiny, tiny. Might be a little bit impossible for some to get in. The capsules are great and gives a bit of privacy and would be a couple of steps up from sharing a dorm style bed. Have to be relatively fit to climb up and slide yourself into the top capsule but after a few go, you'll get the hang of it. The locker needs a bit of ventilation but is useful as the capsule is just right for sleeping with no room for bags etc. At the moment, the lift is out of action and is being refitted so you may have to walk up 4 or 5 flight of steps each time. I like the concept and it suits me fine.

Never again
If you're after a secure stay, this is not the place to for you. The door to the street does not lock automatically, and there is a sign advising to close the door manually. Any random has access to ALL of the common areas once inside. This includes toilets and bathrooms. The matresses are wafer thin and pillows are the size of an A4 sheet of paper. The old lift has no safety features, such as a telephone to call for assistance in case of breakdown/entrapment. There are three showers and three toilets on level 3, for approximately 30 guests. How this place has managed to make it onto this site is beyond me. To finish, avoid this establishment if you can.

can be improved
bed was decent, usb charger did not work properly and did not charge my phone for the first night, shower stalls were dirty and there was enough hooks to hang my belongings.

The stay was good. Everything was very clean, the staff was nice and helpful. The problem might be the lack of sound insulation, so every time someone enters their capsule, you would hear the sound of the opening door. Additionally, the capsules are made from thin plastic, so every time you enter/exit, it will make a squeaky sound. My capsule was very close to the reception so I found the noises disturbing. The inside of the capsule is also very bright when you are sleeping (lots of little led lights you can't turn off). The above means that if you are a light sleeper, it might be hard for you to have a solid slip. Personally, I found it moderately annoying ;)
