Terribly false advertised. NO parking, no maid service, noisy, cold and damp cellar room. Toilet in shower stall! No amenities and outrageously over priced.

Town’s Inn (felt like I was visiting a relative)

Very cozy, Karyn the Inn keeper was very sweet! She sat with us as we arrived, shared & gave us a map of place we could go and things to do in Harpers Ferry, WV. The room we had was small, but perfect for us. No TV which made our couples weekend help us focus on each other. The building is over 200 years old but that was great for me & my wife. However, the private bathroom was on the second floor due to the age of the building. It was okay, for us. There was a pantry to purchase drinks & finger foods. There is a stove that is available to use and a place to sit down and eat. My wife and I had shared an Amazing freshly baked blueberry muffin the night we arrived. As we were leaving Karyn (Inn keeper) showed us other rooms the Inn had for families. (Our room was just for couples or a single person). She took the time to get to know us, but NOT invade our privacy. She reminded me of a sweet Aunt. The Town’s Inn is in the heart of downtown Harpers Ferry. Parking is at the train station which is a short walk away. There are plenty of shops, bakery’s, small restaurants, spa, hiking (foot bridge to MD over the Potomac River) & Civil War history! My wife and I left Harpers Ferry happy, very relaxed, reconnected and thinking about ways to go back. This is definitely not your normal hotel. This is more like a home of a relative that you are visiting.

I loved the old historic building and the fact that there was an AC unit and windows that opened in the room. It was small but perfect for a roommate weekend away.

The Towns Inn has amazing staff, however, fair hotel conditions. We stayed in the Mountain View Room. The room was clean, but there was a large fan and air bed randomly in our closet. There is no TV (and they mention that prior so no surprises) but there is a refrigerator and microwave. The doorway is short and you most likely have to duck to enter your room. We couldn’t open the window, it appeared to be painted shut. If you are looking for privacy, this hotel lacks that. I could hear my partners phone calls when I was in the lobby. The bathroom was down a steep stairway, but you do have your own bathroom...just disconnected from the room. You will have to travel 3 flights of stairs to offload your belongings. The cafe on the first floor was cute and overall the staff is excellent. Apparently January is a slow time for the town so hiking is what’s only really available, not any dine in or shopping. If you are looking for a historic experience, that lacks privacy, I recommend the Towns Inn. You are getting an old fashion experience at The Towns Inn, not a traditional lodging experience.

The Inn is a historical gem. The owner and her daughter were lovely people. Staff were wonderful. The location in Harper's Ferry is unbeatable. Wish the cafe was open but covid has taken care of that :(

The location of this property is primo! You couldn't be more in the middle of it even if you tried. You have all the eating places and boutique shops literally at your doorstep (across the road). The hospitality I was treated to was also superb! The Inn does have stuff you can buy downstairs in at reception, but they only take cash (unfortunately I only had card). You could buy all sorts of things, dinner, breakfast, hiking topups, maps etc. The room I stayed in was quite small, there was just enough room with everything in there for me to walk around the bed. But the view from my window made up for it. There was also a microwave and minifridge in the room.

    Harper’s Ferry History

The Inn was a pleasure to stay at as it is right in the mist of Harper’s Ferry. The owner and hostess was a delight to speak with and very accommodating. This Inn is in the perfect location to experience this quaint, historic town.
