It was like stepping back 40 years. Bird poop on the door. Mirror in bathroom not cleaned, toilet seat nearly off, mould in the shower and window sills. Cobwebs with moths in them. Only half the lights operated. Power point only on one side of the bed. I have stayed at the local camping ground and this would have been a better option.

The rooms are spacious but in need of redecoration. The whole place was tired and definitely dated. The dining facilities were closed during to Covid but the menu looked good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The tariff was expensive for the quality of the accomodation.

Both their and Wotif’s website stated that last check-in is 6pm and if you intend to be later to contact them for ‘late check-in’ process. My booking was for 25 & 26 Dec 2021 and i felt sure i would arrived after 6pm. I phoned both the phone numbers on their website, one of which was permanently engaged left a voicemail on other, asking for guidance on 2 days running. No response was received by me. I was left with a very stressful situation of wondering how i was going to get a room late Xmas day evening. It would seem that nobody monitors their voicemail messages to reassure guests of what is required. This is not good customer service.
