First point of contact on Phone, person gruff and dismissive. My thoughts they have so muvh business, given the rental crisis so they make no effort. Room not ready at check in time. The I was in had an adjoining door where you could hear the other guest clearly. The staff in the Pub downstairs which is not an associated business were very lovely and hospitable.

The Mark is stylishly renovated - new bathroom in particular! My only criticism was that the pillows were very high and hard - slept on a folded towel. Will stay again but bring my own pillow.

Good sized room with ensuite and opening windows. Small fridge and microwave and decent-sized sink. I arrived well after check-in time and the room wasn't ready. The clean that was completed while I waited was superficial. There was a revolting stain on the ceiling and the ceiling fan had a very thick layer of dust on it. There was a sock under the bed and a cigarette butt under the bathroom vanity. The dustpan and brush was under the sink right next to a clean tea-towel. A bottle was broken outside the entrance door. The person who broke it did their best to clean up, but broken glass remained 6 days later. Despite the info on the studios advising there would be a mid-week service, I was booked for seven days and did not receive a service. I left a day early.

Comfortable but noisy
Can be noisy, used primarily for emergency housing which is important but makes for a noisy environment. A 10pm noise curfew similar to what they have at even the cheapest caravan parks might reign them in a bit. Not fair on paying guests, i was there for work purposes, dont plan on getting any sleep if you stay here.

Nice rooms but the hotel is used primarily for emergency housing so can be hit and miss as far as disruptive guests. Have stayed a few times but wont stay again.

Not so good.
I have stayed at The Mark before and this trip was not so great, the front door doesnt close so people coming and going. Nousy arguing couples in the hallway, doors slamming.
