The person at the front desk was very nice and helpful, & so was the valet. The room was very comfortable, but we ended up having to pull out furniture to plug in lamps & our mini fridge. We then searched the room for menus to their restaraunt, but found none. We went down to the restaraunt, but was, for the most part ignored by a guy that never smiled and basically acted that we didn’t exist for at least 5 minutes before I said hello. Then he stated that he would be with us in a minute. There were only 4 other people there. After taking our order, he went back to ignoring us, until we had to get the guys attention. Even though we asked to pay right away, so we could take the food to our rooms, we were not able to complete this task until we had gotten our food & it had gotten cold. I was very close to leaving the food behind & walking away when the guy finally came over to collect the money. In my opinion, when we finally got to eat it, the food was bland; without any flavor. I would not recommend your restaraunt to anyone.

A family of four (2 adults & 2 teens) stayed two nights (Sat & Sun). Loved: full wall windows with excellent blackout curtains, great mattresses, workout room on our floor. great shower w/ hot water & great water pressure. Availability of on-street parking. Furnishings were modern and arty. Mulitple bars and restaurants within a 3 - 10-minute walk. Area felt safe at night. Didn't like: - Room bathroom & closet shared a wall mounted sliding door. Visible gap when closed over bathroom opening, which could be awkward for non-related persons sharing a room. - personally thought $24/day for valet was too much, but day/evening valets were quick to retrieve cards; - overnight/ early morning front staff not clearly marked as staff (woman covering front desk wore blouse/jacket/jeans & no nametag, so I walked right past her in the hall when looking for front desk staff). Likewise, the overnight valet wasn't dressed anything like a valet, so when he told another guest that her car would be here momentarily, it only confused the waiting guest. - Drunk patrons in the bar area and lobby: I can't say if the drunks were over-served at the hotel bar or elsewhere. We DID STAY over a Saturday night and a Sunday after a home Chiefs game. Some were just loud (heard them 30-40 feet away) and slurring words; one female bar patron followed my teens into the elevator asking if they were guests, because she didn't have a key and could not use the elevator to reach her friend's room.

Great, hiwever.....
Great location, perfect for everything youd want to do. Room was excellent, and bed was super comfy. My issue was being awakened at 8am our last day of the trip, by knocking on the door by housekeeping yelling, "just checking!" I went to the door to avoid being walked in on half naked. Had set my alarm for 10am and couldnt get back to sleep. Complained to the desk manager, Jeff, who couldnt have cared less. He offered to comp me a glass of orange juice for our interruption. Really? I told him i didnt want anything comped, Im not the type to look for handouts, I just wanted the 2 hours of sleep I wasnt getting back. His respinse was to be condescending by telling me all hotel rooms have do not disturb signs in them. Uh...I know that, genius. How about letting your housekeepers know not to pound on doors at 8am. Not a single room on our floor had a do not disturb sign on them. Does that mean they didnt care a out being woken up? Aside from that snafu the hotel is great. Too bad we got robbed of 2 hours sleep.

Cool place but the restaurant was lacking. The bartender didn’t even know what a screwdriver was...a different bartender didn’t want to make certain items on menu bc they were too difficult to make (she was both bartenderband cook that morning bc the only cook they had was in trouble with the law and had a criminal court hearing that morning). However the next morning, the same issue arose. I ordered breakfast at about 9:30 am and the bartenders said he wasn’t sure if the kitchen was open. Several guests came down and left bc no one was around to seat them or take orders. It was rather pathetic. Otherwise, it was a good hotel. Customer service is certainly not a priority here. I rarely give a negative review but I feel like at almost 300 bucks per night, I feel it’s unacceptable that the bar and restaurant’s staff make The guests feel like they are doing you a favor by acknowledging your presence and basically unwilling to do their job. It’s beyond unacceptable. Just shut down the restaurant and call it a a mildly upgraded Travel Lodge.

Nice rooms, horrible service
Place looks fantastic. Big beds, huge rooms (at least for double beds). Free WiFi, potentially decent views of the downtown area. However, this place drops the ball on service. Never have I had to work so hard to get housekeeping. I stayed there for 14 days, and I only know of 3 occasions where we received housekeeping services. We even went downstairs to speak with the the front desk personnel, and even the manager, and even on those occasions we only received service once. It's just terrible service plain and simple. They are short staffed so it seems that everyone does everything. Even the "head chef" did the valet for my car one morning. I'd definitely recommend staying somewhere else, especially for the price of this hotel. Having to beg for service and not getting it is definitely not worth paying for
