Room was very small, but clean. Quiet area at night. No safety concerns in neighborhood. Room did not have mini-fridge (didn't bother complaining). Front desk person did not know how to transfer incoming phone call to our room, told caller to call back later when a different person was on shift.

Book it, clean, affordable, great spot!
I have stayed all over the city and this place was perfect. It was very clean, staff was nice, and the price was great! It is in a decent area with great food options just a short walk away. Do note the rooms are small, but it is NYC, and you should expect all the hotel rooms to be small. Also, if you come to the city you shouldn't expect to hangout in your hotel room all day! I will be back!

One of the worst stays I’ve ever had
The hotel was not clean, people were screaming in the lobby at all hours. The fire slalom in the room kept going off, the room is very small even by New York standards, and the staff was rude. I can’t emphasize how the smoke detectors kept chirping and the the light went off every 10 seconds and would not stop - no one came to fix it. The ratings should reflect such and how poorly run this hotel is and the lack of basic amenities.
