    Ok stay

Our stay here was okay. The pictures looked like they were showing one of the small cabins, but actually it was a small room with 5 twin beds. The bathroom needed to be deeply cleaned. It worked for one night, but we probably wouldn't stay again. The restaurant was pretty good, just make sure you have a reservation.

    Catering more for tour groups

This was more hostel than guesthouse catering more for tour groups. The rooms were very noisy, lots of chatter from the communal area at the end of the corridor. Bathroom small, shower tiny and not clean. Guesthouse also felt “unfinished” maybe part way through refurbishment. Would definitely not recommend this one. Price certainly did not reflect quality or comfort.

We stayed one night here so we could be close to Glacier Lagoon. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We hadn’t planned to have dinner here, but are so glad we did. It was one of the best meals we had in Iceland!

Very close to the sights - diamond beach and jokulsalon glacier. Unfortunately we were placed in a room next to the common room, which was quite loud. Especially since there was an issue with their cable tv resulting in only one channel.

The hosts were absolutely amazing, especially considering our eventual midnight arrival - we were stuck in the snow, they waited up. The room was a great size and a great price, and very clean and neat. The location is amazing as well, it's a shame we only arrived so late. Would definitely recommend.

Close to Jokusarlon and black diamond beach

Got the last room for the evening! Was hoping for a double bed, but got 5 singles instead! Guess it was the family room. As we entered the building, the lights would not come on, so we had to use the flashlight on our phones to find our room! Not very safe! Our room was adequate, nothing plush! It was near the door leading to outside as well as the sitting area, so we dealt with a lot of noise from other customers going in and out all night looking for the northern lights! Which we faintly saw! Breakfast was not included, so for @$20 each, we were able to have coffee, tea, bread, sandwich meat and cheese. We did have a very nice dinner upon arrival in their restaurant. The positives were how close to Jokusarlon lagoon and black diamond beach that we were located...about a 10 minute drive! Also we booked an inside a glacier cave tour with Blue Iceland and received a 10% discount by staying there! (That was amazing!!)

    Amazing Staff

Staff was amazing!. I'd like to give a shout out to one of the lady on the desk who attended us on the evening of 8th November. Room and toiler was clean. The view around the hotel is simply stunning as you have both sea and big hills around you. It was only a 15min drive from Jokursarlon, so you can always go back to see the place.
