Lovely hotel in great location
A great hotel in a stunning location. The hotel is just a few steps away from the Flamsbana railway and everything else Flam has to offer. Even though check in time was 16.00 we arrived at 11.00 and our room was ready and we were able to check in straight away - it was the first week in February so the hotel was quiet so this may not be possible in high season. The front desk clerk who welcomed us - think her name was Veronicka - was very friendly and gave us plenty of ideas and suggestions of things to do in Flam. The room was a good size and had a Mountain view from the balcony. The breakfast was great with plenty of choices and good quality choices. Overall a great place to stay in Flam.

We were in the winter, it was so beautiful. The accommodation was very comfortable, nice bed and good shower. Nice and warm inside. How every we did find it a problem booking dinner and ended up having to buy food from the supermarket, so if your going there might pay to pre- book dinner.

The hotel is strategically located near the Harbour with a nice facades. The beddings are good to sleepm on but they only provide basic amenities . Breakfast was amazing the hotel staff are accommodating. The management should check the floor tiles of the comfort room, its a bit slippery.All in all, our stay was very good

What a wonderful property! The staff was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the area. The hotel itself had a great cottage charm but with a good amount of space to not feel crammed. The things to do around the area is definitely a lot so take advantage of the train, the zip lining, biking, and cruise. There's also a very cool bay with a cabin feel to it.

Don’t do Dinner Buffet
We were greeted at desk by the most amazing front desk representative. She took her time with us and everyone & provided the BEST customer service ever. Upgraded our room & Gave us taxi info to get to Stegastein point. All was good until we went to dinner there. Could choose between 4 course meal or dinner buffet. We assumed dinner buffet would be cheaper. The buffet choices were terrible and it cost over $100 for 2 people to eat. Only bad dinner on our trip. The front desk rep originally recommended the brewery for dinner. We should have listened to her, but we were tired & didn’t want to walk anywhere in the rain. Ultimately, we would stay somewhere else next time, perhaps on fjord or further in town.

What a find in this little slice of heaven, Flam! Fabulous staff! I had the best gin and tonic ever at the sweet bar looking out to the mountains. The room was perfect and hotel quiet. But the breakfast! Oh. My. It was the best buffet ever. And the homage bread from the bakery to die for. We were with a party of six and everyone agreed what a treat it was to find this hotel!
