This is a superb hotel in a great location. The rooms and public areas are so beautiful with a wonderful feel for the rich history of the architecture starting from the famous Blue Mansion built in the 1880s. The large, very elegant rooms of the Qing Suites across the road from the main hotel (we’re staying there by choice) have been newly renovated, complete with lovely shuttered windows, great air con, espresso coffee, huge luxurious towels and the most comfortable bed imaginable.
