Room 535 on a top floor had very little headroom, being an eaves room. Bed pillows were inches from the sloping ceiling. All a little cramped for a 6" 1 traveller, and a far cry from the online pictures. Cramped shower room, but with a lovely heated floor and decent shower.

Comfortable hotel with excellent breakfast!
Excellent stay. Rooms were basic, clean, and comfortable. the breakfast (included in the room rate) was outstanding and made this stay truly special. The hotel is located near the train station and a local mall, but feels a bit deserted at night. It is a few block walk to the more commercial areas of Oslo.

After a long journey we were happy that Thon Hotel Terminus was so closely located to Oslo S train station. It was a very easy walk to the hotel. We were greeted by friendly staff. Our room was clean and simple. The bed was comfortable. I was happy that the window opened up too. The breakfast was amazing! There were many options of both hot and cold foods. The coffee, tea and juice options were plentiful. I couldn’t have asked for a better breakfast! The area is right by the train station, so the foot traffic was heavy. That being said I felt safe walking to and from this hotel in the evenings. I would say again and recommend it.

I looked under the mattress of the first room I checked into and it showed signs of bed bugs. I immediately went to front desk with pictures and they moved me to another room which was very clean and had no issues. Staff was accommodating, the hotel is within easy walking distance to the train station and city center and they serve a nice breakfast.

This is the second Thon hotel that I stayed and I really like it. Check in: fast 2 minutes (booked through Expedia). Location: excellent, busy but quiet, across the street from the Oslo City Mall. 200n from the Central train station. Bed & bedding: Very comfortable and soft (North Americans get use to no top sheet and single duvet) Room was small. Bathroom was really small, room for only one person. Breakfast is excellent, it has a bit of everything (bacon, eggs, beans, fruit. cereal, pastries, smoothies). Towels: they are small and thin (European style) perhaps the only improvement that I will suggest to Thon. I was also impressing for the security in the hotel, you need your room card-key to use the elevators.
