Marselisborg Memorial Park is a beautiful natural area just outside Aarhus, which is known for its cultural-historic elements. Experience Rømerhaven, with its different gardens and a reflecting pool as well as garden borders with wild herbs. Here, you can also find Solhesten, a sculpture inspired by Solvognen, which is on exhibit at the National Museum of Denmark.
In the middle of the Memorial Park, you can find the Marselisborg Monument, which is a memorial for those who fell in World War I. Did you know that the Marselisborg Memorial Park was originally established as a home for memorial works for fallen soldiers? Visit Kirsebærlunden, with its collection of Japanese cherry trees, which form a cloud of delicate, pink flowers in May and June.

Marselisborg Memorial Park is used to its full potential, and the grounds are home to a long list of activities. Among other things, it is a popular place for jogging, and if you feel the need to exercise, there is also outdoor training equipment at one end of the park. If you haven't had enough of nature and outdoor activity, the beautiful Marselisborg Beach is just a stone's throw away.
You can find the entrance to the Memorial Park at the roundabout between Carl Nielsens Vej and Kongevejen as well as by Strandvejen. It's just a short walk from Aarhus centre or public transport options at Carl Nielsens Vej and Oddervej.
