The hotel is a smallish hotel modeled on traditional Japanese local residences. A very enjoyable and authentic experience as a local, which is complemented by excellent service, attention to detail, awesome inhouse breakfast, and proximity to the Dazaifu Tenmangu shrine and neighborhood. Overall, if you are looking for something different and tasting how local people lives, this hotel is highly recommended.

It was an incredible experience exploring Japanese culture. During our family trip, we booked both lunch and dinner, and all the meals were exquisitely prepared with creativity. The hotel environment was quiet and private, with a remarkable garden design that allowed me to feel the season-changing flow. Every corner of the garden was well taken care of and full of the love of nature. Nakamura-san, the hotel manager, provided the best service and represented the quality of the hotel. Hopefully, I'll be lucky enough to book a room when the Plum blossoms are in full bloom next time.
This hotel is absolutely marvellous. The standard of the room 103 was first class - the room was spacious, clean with excellent air conditioning. We had comfortable twin beds and the bath / shower room was beautifully done. Traditional Japanese accommodation with all mod cons.
The staff were incredibly hospitable, helpful and friendly and Mr Kazurokimura and his team looked after us incredibly well. Dinner was superb, possibly the best food we’ve ever tasted and well worth the expense. The location is across the road from Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine and about 30 minutes by train from the city - a taxi from Hakata is 5,000 Yen so best to use public transport if possible, whilst the area is bustling during the day It is very quiet after 6 o’clock but that suited us after a busy schedule during the day. Overall a wonderful experience and we would highly recommend this property.
