The hotel is located in an industrial area, convenient to the Autobahn. There is an infrequent bus service, with the stop some distance away across a 4 lane highway. Tram service (No. 7) is a short drive away at the P and R. Service is frequent and it goes to the Hbf which is located within easy walking distance to everything.
As to room. Clean, comfortable bed. But, the room is quite dark, as lighting is given short shrift. One desk lamp of 40 watts. One light over bed of lesser wattage and a wall sconce of 20? watts with a thick shade. So it was not really possible to comfortably read. The lamp over the bed flickered and was burning out. Took 2 days to get it changed. Seems the staff leave notes about it but don't take action.
The other problem is the shower. It's a really good shower, but it's an in-tub shower. The tub is very deep. The rim came to mid thigh on me,so it was a safety matter getting in and out. I'm of average height, so shorter persons may have real difficulty.
Breakfast was 5 euros extra, but well worth it.
There is a restaurant with a nice, but limited menu and a bar in the lobby area.
CNN was in the channel listing, but not available. All other programs are in German, mostly dubbed American TV series.
