Good Location hotel but not staying there again
The hotel is in a great central location, I was there for my daughter's wedding. The hotel staff had very few English speaking staff members, so communication was challenging at times, I had a light bulb out by my bed and after asking 3 times to have it changed out it never happened, my parents also stayed in the hotel for the wedding and had to be moved to a different room since the toilet kept over-flowing, my other daugher that was also in this same hotel for the wedding had to be moved out of her room because the shower never drained and there was hair inside the shower, but the staff did always take care of other small requests we had, Each room is very different as far as what you can tell was old and some were more recently u[dated, the beds were comfortable -the only food we ate in the hotel restaurant was the breakfast and it was less than average.

Great location. Staff at counter not polite, rooms are very small. Bathroom is very small for tall individuals like us. Difficult time sitting on toilet as we are tall and its too close to wall. Noisy bed. Noisy air conditioning.

Hotel is old and some things need updating. Examples are old uncomfortable mattress with no padding hardly, very small rooms, having to climb stairs to third floor as they have a very small elevator that is very slow and noisy. It just became faster to climb stairs. The picture on Expedia was deceiving and made the room look more attractive and larger. I spoke with hotel staff and they did give me a slightly larger room in exchange but I felt the lady did not do it willingly and she gave me the cold shoulder after that. The plus side is that the hotel is located in an excellent location.

Staff was overall polite, room was clean, food was delicious. Only downside was the beds were a bit uncomfortable/small, not a deal breaker however! Would stay here again.

Everything is fine. It's a very colonial hotel, a trip to the past, but good and clean, for its kind, it's one of the best. If you drive, the have small valet parking space. They will manage to park them within 1 millimeter of each other and will have to move some to get yours out. But it's the best you can have given the fact that it's within the downtown of Guanajuato. The only other option is to find another parking near by. At least this one is free for the guests.

The hotel is very nice and clean. Parking is very small but the staff were able to fit in our SUV. There is a restaurant/bar, the food and service were good. There is noise (music) from the plaza at night but it's not that bad.

The restaurant service is very slow, they don't have enough people and the food not always is at the proper temperature. The elevator only goes to the first floor and the showers are in need of updates. The people is very nice and try to accomodate, we will go back again.

It's different, it's very old Mexico. Colonial style, a trip to the past. Nested in the core of Guanajuato town. You can walk around to all other town attractions or dine right outside where there is always a party.

Great hotel. If you want to stay in the heart of Guanajuato, this is the place to go. The hotel is beautiful, and it’s been around for a long time. They have lots of great art pieces hanging on the walls. Make sure to stop by the bar and chat with Don Juan. He makes excellent drinks!

Best Hotel in GTO
Hotel Posada Santa Fe is beautiful. So many reasons why we chose to stay here every time we are in the city. The hotel is in a great location, all staff are extremely helpful, friendly and go out of their way to host their guests. Along with the beautifully decorated halls and comfortable rooms, there is a wonderful restaurant with tables both outside and inside. There is also a nice bar area with a great ambiance. If you haven’t stayed here, it’s worth a trip.
