My only gripe was the lack of a decent coffee machine in the room. For the price point and the star rating I would hope they could afford something other than instant! The only other point to note is they don’t take cash in the hotel. This also seems to be a thing now in the city…lots of restaurants and bars were also cashless."

"My mom, grandmother and I spent 4 days at the Room Mate Aitana during our first trip to Amsterdam and we absolutely loved it. The location is a 5 min walk to Centraal Station which was perfect for getting to/from the airport and other cities, and was a 30-40 min walk towards many of the attractions we wanted to see - this was a perfect distance so we could enjoy the scenery on our way around. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, and we loved the facilities - we spent the end of most of our days curled up at the couches by the bar/lounge. We opted to not do the included breakfast but did pay for it on our last morning and it was very complete/delicious. The fitness centre had everything we needed. Hotel staff were extremely friendly. The hotel is very focused on being environmentally friendly which I also appreciated. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others and I will stay here again when I come to Amsterdam in the future."
