Learn more about Santa Margherita Ligure
Fishing boats bob in the harbour like colourful toys while locals sip espresso at cafés that haven't changed their recipes in generations. Villa Durazzo offers gardens with views that explain why Italian painters never ran out of inspiration. Take a ferry to glamorous Portofino where the yachts are bigger than some hotels. The Regional Natural Park of Portofino rewards hikers with Mediterranean vistas that seem almost deliberately theatrical. Paraggi Beach provides perfect swimming in waters so clear you can count fish without getting wet. After exploring Santa Margherita Ligure Castle, settle at a harbourside restaurant where seafood arrives having barely met the refrigerator. For a perfect day trip, the dramatic cliff-hugging villages of Cinque Terre await just up the coast.

Hotel Blu di Te
"The staff were all amazingly helpful and so incredibly kind from the moment we got there. The hotel is beautiful, great decor, vibe, and location. Cool bar and swimming pool. The perfect location to explore the area, or a base from Portofino- Cinque Terre. The hotel location is 10/10 to walk to all beaches or restaurants."

Best Western Regina Elena
"Such a great location with wonderful staff!!"
Hotel Sant'Andrea
"We had such a wonderful stay at Hotel Sant’Andrea! The hotel is beautiful, charming, and in the perfect location in Santa Margherita Ligure — close to everything while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. The rooms were lovely and comfortable, and the entire property has so much character. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay and made us feel right at home. Such a special little hotel and the perfect base for exploring the Ligurian coast. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!"
Eight Hotel Paraggi
"Our check in was very disappointing. The room was very small so I request an upgrade which I was happy to pay for- the receptionist explained they had a room but it was being cleaned, for us to go enjoy lunch and come back to sort it out. On our return they had sold the room to someone else. Hotel location is nice, rooms tiny and old/ worn. Beach set up in also very small with sun loungers crammed together. the beach is lovely. Stay in a proper hotel and come use the beach!"
Hotel Minerva
"Un incroyable petit établissement, très classe, propre , merveilleusement bien entretenu. Nous avons été accueilli avec bienveillance et sincérité, une vibe incroyable. Cet hôtel appartient à la troisième génération d’hôte de la Famille . Un bijou"
Grand Hotel Miramare
"Beautiful property and location. Everyone on the staff was pleasant and welcoming. Vistamare breakfast and dinner were excellent. Pool and beach area are well kept and inviting. The concierge and reception staff were all first class and provided exemplary service. I would highly recommend this luxurious property if you are staying in or near Santa Margarita Ligure."
