Nice Old School Motel Room - Quiet and Comfortable
Super convenient and practical. Just the basics and a good place to get a quiet night of sleep.

We actually got switched to the next door Superior Motel as the other they also own was unavailable. They had a danish and coffee for breakfast and other items for purchase. They did give us a free bag of ice that "comes with the room" which helped keep our food cool once back on the road around the lake.

This is an older motel, things are dated including the beds, and bathroom. Everything is clean, and no foul odors in our room. Picked this motel due to lack of availability at other hotels. Would I stay again if in a pinch, yes.

Loved the set up of our room, BUT there was no tv in the second bedroom and the shower was terrible, the beds were comfortable enough and there was a window air conditioner, if the prices weren’t so high I wouldn’t have expected more…. The location was decent and the lady working was very nice

It was a great place to sleep but otherwise not much else. No fridge or microwave, the shower had awful water temperature. I burned myself when I had it on warm. Otherwise ok place to stay.

Don’t expect anything from the property. It looks like a temporary structure

The room was very sparse. no coffee maker, no refrigerator no microwave... bed was comfortable ,,, the steps leading up to the room were kind of wanky.

There are times people change the trajectory of your day, the gal that checked me in did just that for me. After spraining my ankle on the trail and barely able to walk, she was a super hero helping me get situated with ice and extra towels to offering to carry my stuff into my room. Spacious rooms, beautiful property and sweet people work here. Thank you for being so amazing!

Considering i made the decision to get this motel 2 days out from arrival i was lucky to get a booking for the weekend. It was reasonably enough priced. Especially if youre in munising to explore around the area and not for a particularly lavish room. There was no fridge, which was my only real problem so thats not all that bad. All around worth the price i paid for a place to crash while still being in munising. Probably hard to beat.

Not worth for the money charged. No microwave, iron, or at least a chair. Have to sit on the bed for eating. Hot water not consistent

Property was generally good but odd layout in rooms…..lights only on one side of bathroom mirror , switch to turn in lights not near bath door….no coffee or dryer. Staff very friendly and stated what would not be available in the room. Would be awesome with a little updating.

Verry Very out dated, mattress from the 50,s. No ac, n9 coffee or refrigerators or microwave Would never recommend this to anyone
William, 2-night trip

The property is old and tired and expensive. There was no breakfast, no coffee in the room, and the electrical outlets were old two prong ones except in the bathroom. We ended up having to charge our devices in the bathroom. All this for more that we have paid at most modern chain motels.

No plug in in bathroom. Shower was installed wrong. Overpriced

The rooms did not have any chairs or a little table. No Coffee pot or any other conveniences. The office had very limited hours.

This place has no frig or microwave. The toilet is super short as if for a child. The shower is small and our hot water handle would not stop turning. It kept turning up hotter and hotter on it's own. Very over priced for what you get.

We booked 2 queen beds last minute, so we had limited options. The front door knob seemed like it would fall off. There was a window on the front door that you could see one of the beds. I wish there was at least a curtain covering the window for privacy. The carpet needs to be changed, it looked dated. WiFi was limited. However, if you need a bed for the night at a cheap price then this place covers your basic needs.

Disappointing
At $120, you would think the room would be more up to standard. The sheets were dirty, and there was garbage and dirty socks under the bed. Additionally, the room does not include a fridge, coffee pot, toaster, etc. You have to go to another motel to check in. We stayed at this hotel last year before they rebranded from Terrace Motel to Maple Ridge Hotel. Unfortunately, I specifically tried to book a different hotel than last time due to the dirtiness of the room, bugs present, and issues with the locks. Because this was under a new title, I accidentally booked the same hotel, and was again disappointed.

It was fine in a pinch. My room did not have air and I must have missed that when booking. Apparently, the rooms along the back side (not painted blue) do not have air. It wasn’t hot out so it was not a big deal. They brought me a box fan that did not work. However, there was a working one already in the room. There were no curtains, only the thin blinds so the light from outside was pretty bright all night. The bed was comfortable.

This is the first motel we ever stayed at they did not have any place to sit except on the toilet or on the bed. No chairs of any sort in the room at all and there was no mattress pad under the sheet. The room had a very peculiar odor I don’t know what the Oder was but we couldn’t eliminate it so we dealt with it for the whole night. This was one of the worst motels we’ve ever stayed in in our 53 years together☹️
