"I really like the local breakfast. The city view is amazing. Staff member always tried their best to help my partner who doesn’t speak Chinese. There are 2 robots delivering food, super cute!"
Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Tianjin Downtown by IHG
"This is one of my best stays across the world, and the best in China. Just superb and at a great price. Large modern room, awesome view, a pool, polite staff, everything very nearby (although, yes, you need to walk a good ten minutes to line one’s Er Wei Road metro station), and yet you are in a non touristy residential-feeling area (actually a huge hospital precinct). Do yourself a favour if in Tianjin and stay here."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Tianjin
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Tianjin is during January, February, and December, when hotel prices are lower. To truly appreciate the city's historical landmarks and cultural richness, aim for at least a 3 to 4-day stay. This duration allows for a budget-friendly exploration of significant sites such as temples, the picturesque river, and local cafes. You could also enjoy activities like running along scenic routes and indulging in leisurely camping trips. With careful planning, a visit during these months can provide great value for money while immersing yourself in Tianjin’s unique heritage.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Tianjin, start by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay updated on flash sales and exclusive promotions, ensuring you don't miss any chances to save on hotel bookings. Additionally, Smart Shopping is a handy comparison tool in the app that helps you compare hotel prices and amenities, so you're more likely to see the best options available. This way, if prices drop or rooms become available, you'll be among the first to book your getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on factors like the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates might help you save on your stay in a Tianjin hotel. For those seeking something distinctive, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and potentially offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we'll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable, helping you to secure a better deal.
- Consider your location: Staying closer to major attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often comes with higher costs. For more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and ease of access to the sights you plan to visit. You might explore independent hotels a bit further out, which are usually more likely to be affordable and can provide a more authentic experience.
