Sanliurfa, my new favourite city. The hotel is perfect, tucked away in the alleyways and only a short walk from the high street. The hosts were just fabulous. Mert was a joy to be around, fun, engaging and inquisitive. I loved sitting in the open courtyard until late in the evening, watching them practice their Turkish dancing. A big Turkish breakfast in the morning and a short walk to the Sanliurfa archaeological museum or the Pool of Abraham. Wonderful.
