If there was a 10 star rating I could select I would. The hotel is beautiful right on the Nile. The Nubian architecture and ambiance is stunning. Karim and is whole team gave my wife and I one the best experiences we’ve ever had. From arranging taxis, boat rides as well as providing us with recommendations for Egyptologists They truly made us feel at home and like family. The chef came and introduced himself our first out of our four night stay. He accommodated our Vegetarian diets superbly. Sunrise and sunsets are to die for and right out the rooms door. Swimming on the Nile couldn’t be easier. Boats and meals were good price and great quality. Wait staff in the restaurant were very good as well. The only thing I can say is that the WiFi does not work in the rooms at the time of this review but it works great everywhere else. Karim went above and beyond to try to remedy this. In the end it seemed like it was the hotel internet provider and not the hotel. Overall great experience. Cozy rooms, beautiful views, great service, authentic Nubian vibes. Highly recommend. P.S. we checked into Ben Ben after our 4 night stay at Aro Kato.. We had a hard time getting settled. We were a little home sick for Aro Kato. The people there just made our trip SO special

Yousseff was the property manager and was very helpful in organizing tours and arrangements to Abu Simbel and Philae, and kalabsha and Elephantine. Got to see it all in just two intense packed days, but wouldn’t have it any other way.

My days in Aswan were filled with peace, kindness, warmth, and beautiful, smiling faces. Looking back, I’m truly grateful I chose Aro Kato, a hidden gem nestled on Heisa Island, away from the noise and busyness of the Nubian town. With its peaceful atmosphere, natural beauty, and views reminiscent of Santorini, yet with a slower, gentler rhythm, this place reminded me of the beauty of slowing down, being present, and appreciating life’s simplest moments. What made my stay truly special was the wonderful team. Everyone welcomed me with genuine kindness and a beautiful smile. Their warmth and love for what they do made me feel so welcome. It’s a rare gift to experience such heartfelt hospitality. My room was spotless, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the balcony view of Philae Temple and the sunset was simply breathtaking. Delicious meals enjoyed with views of the Nile, accompanied by birdsong and a gentle breeze, became some of my favorite moments. If you love nature, tranquility, and genuine hospitality, I wholeheartedly recommend Aro Kato. It’s more than a place to stay; it’s a place to pause, reconnect with yourself, and experience the soulful beauty of Aswan. To the entire team, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my three days so memorable. I leave with a heart full of gratitude and beautiful memories I’ll cherish for a long time. Aswan will always hold a special place in my heart, and Aro Kato will forever be part of its magic. ❤️
