The best and worst thing about this property was the location. It was right in the heart of the action on 25th August street and very convenient to everything we wanted to do in Heraklion. We stayed in the Hellas suite, which is on the ground floor right at the front of the building, The suite and building were meticulously maintained and very tastefully decorated and appointed. But it was loud, well into the early hours of the morning and then again near dawn. Lots of street noise, noise from tourists, vehicle noise (even though facing a pedestrian street), church bells. Those are all obviously outside the control of the owner and probably would have been less of a problem if we were staying on an upper floor, farther back from the street, or if we were visiting at a less busy time. But difficult to fall asleep and stay asleep. Also, randomly, turning on a tv in one room or changing channels would turn on tvs in the other areas of the suite, which was like a game of whack-a-mole with our family on different schedules. Still, it was a lovely spot, and we would go back, although probably try to secure a different suite.
