The family who own the property are so kind and helpful. The property is beautiful!! The bedding and bed itself are wonderful, I got a great nights rest. It’s in a quiet area, very peaceful. The drive into the ‘downtown’ is easy. Breakfast was excellent as well. Highly recommended.

This was a beautiful property and a lovely place to stay. Gwen and Mark were excellent hosts and accommodated my gluten free needs. Each breakfast was so tasty and the coffee was plentiful. We did have a night where we enjoyed the salt water hot tub and a nice cup of tea in the evening. I would recommend staying least two nights, so you get to enjoy the property and all it has to offer.

From the easy check in to the breakfast in the morning, everything was perfect. We were in Room 2 and the bed and pillows were the most comfortable I have experienced away from home. I haven't slept that well in days. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Amazing B&B in the Anchorage suburbs. What an oasis! Beautiful room with wonderful amenities from tea, snacks, to a spa like bathroom with a clawfoot tub! The downstairs rooms were gorgeously appointed. The breakfast was amazing and beautifully presented with beautiful china! The owners clearly take pride in their property and hospitality. The gardens are beautiful. The owners have lovely personalities, so it was nice to chat with them and get to know them. If you are looking for a. Stay that is not an ordinary hotel stay, but more like a a warm boutique, B&B, this is your place and you will not be disappointed. Just wished our stay was longer! Heaven in Anchorage. We walked in and it was like family welcoming us home. It is a beautiful home, lovely thoughtful details throughout all the guest areas — tea waiting, inviting fireplace, comfortable beds, well lit, beautiful rooms and lovely breakfasts in the great room — and friendly owners who want to make sure you have everything you might need. This is a lovely place to rest and come back to, we can’t wait to visit again. Can’t recommend this highly enough!

Quaint and Quiet

The Highland Glen Lodge was such a gem. The house is absolutely beautiful and the location was so serene. The owners were friendly and helpful and have thought of everything for your stay. I did stay with my 11 year old and I might say it is not the best for kids. It was so quiet I was afraid he was going to make noise and disturb others. We whispered the whole time haha. I would definitely recommend to others visiting Anchrorage and looking for a wonderful experience.

We stayed at the lodge on our first night in Alaska and the last two nights of our trip before heading home. It has a very quiet and welcoming environment with several places to relax outside of your guest room (i.e., upstairs and downstairs lounge area, outside patio on the second floor that overlooks the front yard with a hot tub, and an outside gazebo with a fire pit.) The breakfasts were different each morning that we dined and were delicious! We stayed in two different guest rooms, and each room offered a tea set with biscuits, so you could enjoy teatime in the comfort of your room. We absolutely loved our stay here and could not recommend it enough!! The lodge is a short drive to the airport and a very short drive to Flattop Mountain hiking trail.
