Oasis by the sea

Comfortable, clean, modern hotel within easy walking distance to beach, shopping, restaurants. Tram stops outside the door (#1) and around the corner (#9) for trams to center of The Hague and train stations. Large, comfy bed. Efficient kitchen facilities. My room had a fantastic view of the sea! The one downside was lack of air conditioning (bed is enclosed in a windowless area that gets stuffy) -- fan was provided. Hope to stay here again.

Difficulty checking in

When I arrived at the place I realised that the checkin was fully online. Hotels.com did not provide the information that was needed amd Numa neither contacted me prior. I got help from Numa and later Hotels.com to get the booking code and could checkin 30 minutes later. Room was great, clean and the bed comfortable.

I am very disappointed with my stay. I paid for a larger room with a balcony, but the room we received had no balcony and was much smaller than expected. It was a duplex with stairs, which was very dangerous for our small child. There was also no space for a baby cot, and even if one had been provided, it would not have fit in the room. This was not the family-friendly accommodation we expected, and I do not feel that the room matched what we paid for.

I would like to make a formal complaint about my stay at Numa The Hague Scheveningen. The apartment we received was not suitable for a family with a small child. We booked and paid for a more expensive apartment with a balcony, but we were given a duplex apartment with stairs, which was unsafe and inconvenient for our child. There was also no space for a baby cot. I have already contacted Numa, but they keep repeating the booking category without addressing the actual issue. I would like Hotels.com to review this case and help find a fair solution.

Broken lift and being on the 6th floor with luggage is far from ideal. Room had a door to join the room Nextdoor when needed and it was in no way sound proof. You could hear EVERYTHING!

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with a full kitchen, as expected. However, our stay was heavily impacted by multiple issues and the lack of on-site support, which made things particularly stressful while traveling with a child. We ended up spending a lot of time communicating with NUMA support via WhatsApp. Although we received a 30% refund, we would not stay here again. The first issue occurred on arrival when the luggage storage system in the open area didn’t work, and support was unable to assist. The second was a failure of the heating system, making the room uncomfortably cold at night. Support could only arrange a check the next day, but the issue remained unresolved, and the portable heater provided was not sufficient. Finally, during rain, water leaked from the air ventilation system, dripping directly onto us, which was extremely unpleasant. Overall, while the room itself met expectations, the unresolved issues and lack of immediate support made this a frustrating and disappointing experience.

Die Lage war toll, der Balkon sehr klein. Nie wieder ein Hotel ohne Rezeption. Probleme via WhatsApp zu klären, führt zu keiner schnellen Problemlösung. Es gibt genügend andere Hotels in der Nähe, die persönlicher sind. Wenn schon bei diesem Personal gespart wird, sollte sich das im Preis wiederfindet. Das tut es nach unserer Auffassung nicht.

These guys did not provide any bedding for one of our guests, meaning they had to sleep with no sheets. Then when I left my mobile phone with them they refused to send it on to an address in the Netherlands unless I paid the shipping, given how let down we were having been left to sleep in the cold I thought the least they could do was return my phone. They have refused. We will never use another Numa property again, worst customer service I have ever encountered.

The hotel was totally unmanned, shortly after checking in the elevator went out of order so by the time it was operative, I lost some precious hours stranded in my room on the 8th floor. Air conditioner was not functioning & for any problem, the only way of contacting, is WhatsApp with a machine. The microwave wasn’t functioning and same problem as the others. I SHALL never try this hotel or any UNMANNED hotel. Expedia better mention explicitly that hotel is UNMANNED 😖

Minus: Keine "echte" Rezeption, nur virtuell. Frühstück in Bistro auf anderer Straßenseite. Frühstück erst ab 8:30 möglich (zu spät). Waschbecken zu klein. Zu laute, nicht abstellbare Klimaanlage. Keine Schreibutensilien (Papier, Stift) vorhanden. Plus: Straßenbahnhaltestelle direkt vor'm Hotel. Strand und Promenade in direkter Nähe. Ruhiges Zimmer.

Tolle Unterkunft in guter Lage. Fussläufig zum Strand, Ruck Zuck geht es zur Mall of the Netherlands oder nach Den Haag. Das Frühstück ist sehr zu empfehlen. Einziger Malus, die Zimmer sind etwas hellhörig.

Zimmer war top! Genau wie beschrieben und mit wunderbarer Aussicht in richtung Strand, obwohl wir kein Zimmer mit Balkon gebucht hatten (war vielleicht Glück). Parkplatz ist sehr eng, sollte man wissen - aber trotz SUV hat es irgendwie gepasst 😄 Check-In und Check-Out war super und ohne Probleme. Und die Lage ist wirklich super, in zweiter Reihe zum Strand Scheveningen, wir kommen gerne nochmal wieder. ☀️

Het hotel bevindt zich op een perfecte locatie. De kamer was netjes en schoon, maar helaas lekte de douche aan alle kanten en liep het water vrijwel niet weg, waardoor douchen hooguit 3 á 4 minuten mogelijk was. Ook was de kamer ontzettend gehorig, doordat er enkel een inklapbare scheidingswand tussen zat. We konden de gesprekken van de mensen je de kamer er naast van A tot Z meeluisteren. De WiFi/TV vielen constant uit, waardoor die beiden eigenlijk ook niet te gebruiken waren. De kamer was wel netjes en schoon en voor extra koffiecupjes, koffiemelk, handdoeken etc is er een suppliescloset. Het naar binnen en naar buiten gaan met een code ipv sleutel is ideaal.

Bij binnenkomst waren we zeer verrast over de kamer. Erg netjes en leuk ingericht. De slaapbank, waarop we sliepen, kraakte enorm tijdens omdraaien. Dat was een nadeel. Verder erg tevreden.
