A lovely stay overlooking the Basilica of San Francesco, aka, St. Francis. The hotel was well located with off-site parking, just a few minutes walk from the door. Simple rooms, but not austere, we had a phenomenal view of the Basilica. The breakfast was very nice, again simple but wholesome. The staff was wonderful and you're right in the heart of a glorious walking village.

Perfect location directly across from the Basilica but very challenging to get to. Room was very plain, small single bed, no closet or drawers but sufficient for one night. Views were outstanding! If driving, must reserve parking as well.

The view was STUNNING! The location was perfect for us - happy to be next door to the Basilica of St. Francis. We didn't mind walking up the hills and through the beautiful streets of Assisi to get to the center of town, but you might want a taxi to go up to the hotel from the last bus stop.

The location could not be better, steps from St Francis Basilica. The views are spectacular. I valued the history of the hotel, which used to be a monastery. They have done a good job adding some modern conveniences while maintaining its historic foundation. Breakfast was simple but tasty and the customer service was excellent. Very much recommend this hotel.

This hotel is in an incredible location directly across from the church where St. Francis is entombed. To get to it you have to drive through the pedestrian only cobblestone street so a small car is advised. Also, you need to arrange parking if you are driving to it. We did not arrange parking but the clerk (Jean Luke if I remember correctly) went above and beyond to accommodate our vehicle. He also helped us to arrange our pre-dawn departure as there was no clerk at the desk at that hour. The view of the church from our 5th floor room was incredible. The staff unexpectedly prepared us a lunch in a bag for our next morning departure. All in all we had a marvelous experience!

Breakfast was not that good every thing was cold but the coffee. Same food everyday. Room was beat up for it only being 1 year old, walls were dirty and beat up. Property was beautiful. The smoking area seemed to be below our room because our room smelled like smoke 3 or 4 times a day and night. Staff was good. I would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was incredibly kind, friendly, and always willing to help, which made us feel very welcomed throughout our visit. The hotel itself is simple, but very comfortable—perfect for a peaceful stay. One of the highlights was the chapel on the third floor. It was quiet, beautiful, and truly a place where you could feel a deep sense of rest and peace. The location is unbeatable, as it’s right next door to Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi, making it easy to visit such a special and sacred place. Breakfast was a good, traditional Italian breakfast, and we enjoyed it very much. And the view from our room was absolutely breathtaking—something we will not forget. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and meaningful stay in Assisi. I can’t wait to come again!
