Gulberg
Gulberg is Lahore's playground for the fancy crowd, where high-end shopping at Liberty Market and dining along MM Alam Road rule the scene. You'll find gleaming corporate towers standing tall next to charming colonial buildings on tree-lined streets. The area hums with upscale energy from designer boutiques to art galleries, with the iconic Packages Mall drawing in shoppers who mean business. Getting around is a breeze with ride-sharing apps like Careem and Uber at your fingertips. The wide boulevards make walking between venues pleasant, and you'll find plenty of dining options from traditional Pakistani cuisine to international fare. Most hotels offer luxury amenities, perfect for travellers who appreciate the finer things in life.
Mall Road
Mall Road blends colonial grandeur with the buzz of modern Lahore. The red-brick Lahore Museum houses stunning Gandhara sculptures, while Gothic-style Punjab University and the imposing High Court showcase British architectural legacy. Cultural enthusiasts flock to the Alhamra Arts Council, bookshops, and traditional tea houses for an authentic taste of Pakistani life. The nearby Lahore Zoo offers a family-friendly escape. Getting around is a breeze with local buses, rickshaws, and ride-sharing apps readily available. You'll find everything from aromatic chai stalls to restaurants serving mouthwatering karahi and biryani. Most attractions are within walking distance along tree-lined boulevards that provide welcome shade during your cultural explorations.

Johar Town
Johar Town balances modern living with local charm in Lahore's organised suburban landscape. Explore the gleaming Emporium Mall, browse colourful bazaars filled with textiles and spices, or visit nearby attractions like Fortress Stadium and Packages Mall. The wide, tree-lined streets make this area refreshingly navigable compared to the old city's maze. Getting around is hassle-free with abundant rickshaws and ride-sharing options connecting you to Lahore's highlights. Dining ranges from international chains in air-conditioned malls to authentic Pakistani street food vendors selling fresh samosas and chai. Learn more about Lahore
Beyond the magnificent Badshahi Mosque with its red sandstone grandeur, Lahore reveals itself as a city where history breathes through ancient walls. The Walled City feels like stepping into a living museum, though with considerably more honking motorbikes. At Anarkali Bazaar, shopkeepers beckon with practised charm while the aroma of street food creates an irresistible distraction. The colonial-era Mall Road offers architectural splendour that would make Victorian Brits feel they'd overdone it a bit. Cricket fans shouldn't miss Gaddafi Stadium, where matches are treated with religious fervor. For a respite from urban intensity, Shalimar Gardens provides manicured tranquility that has survived centuries of history with remarkable grace.

"On site pool, sauna, steam room, gym all excellent. Staff very helpful. Extremely safe hotel."
The Residency Hotel
"This summer I stayed 7 nights at The Residency Hotel in Lahore, on my most recent trip to Pakistan. I found this hotel to meet all my key needs to a high degree: A good breakfast buffet with a changing variety of options. The bed was clean and comfortable. I liked that my room had a small fridge, and a small outdoor terrace. The large pool was also a nice amenity to have with the high heat of the season. A highlight was the exceptional hotel team, including the daytime and nighttime hotel and front desk managers, who were most kind to me during my stay. Also, a member of the cleaning staff who was very attentive, diligent, and considerate in every interaction we had. I had a few small issues arise during my stay which the hotel team kindly and reliably resolved; a true testament to the professional and courteous efforts taken to provide guests quality service. It being my first time I didn't know what to expect, but outstanding hospitality, service and standards which left me with an exceptional lasting impression of The Residency Hotel. As someone who has stayed in many hotels all over the world, this hotel is unassuming, but it is special, and it excels in all the ordinary, but principal ways. It was the treatment as a guest I experienced from the hardworking and sincere hotel team, which left a lasting memory. And it is for this reason, I would absolutely return again to The Residency Hotel on my next visit to Lahore. Overall Grade: Highly Recommend, FIVE STARS ☆☆☆☆☆"
The Nishat Hotel Gulberg
"The room is good and staff generally helpful. However, the AC in the room was impossible to adjust. We called the engineer to help us when the room was freezing upon our arrival. He simply switched off the AC off and told us to switch it back on when the room temperature reaches the desired temperature. No matter what temperature you set the AC on, it just does what it wants. You simply have no control."
Regency Suite Hotel
"The hotel location is on a crowded street but once inside it’s a beautiful property with well appointed rooms and an excellent staff."
Royal Swiss Lahore
"Only stayed one night . Quick checkin and departure and the transfer to the airport was a god send! Well placed and while I didn't have the opportunity to use the facilities or have breakfast because of my own timings I may stay that extra day next time to indulge in the jacuzzi hot tub bath in my room ...wish I'd had more time."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Lahore
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Lahore is during May, June, and September, when hotel prices are typically lower. To fully enjoy the city’s prominent landmarks, historical sites, and cultural experiences, it's recommended to stay for at least 3 to 4 days. This budget-friendly duration allows you to explore attractions like museums, temples, parks, and gardens, all of which offer great value for money. Plus, prices for accommodations may drop during these months, making it a perfect opportunity for those travelling on a budget.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Lahore, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you'll stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, increasing your chances of securing cheap accommodation. Additionally, the Smart Shopping feature in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you find the best value. With these tools, you're more likely to be the first to know about price drops or available rooms for your last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on factors like the hotel's location, star rating, and the season, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you save on your stay in a hotel in Lahore. If you're after something special, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and could offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we'll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we’ll recommend alternative dates that may be more affordable, helping you to possibly secure a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be pricier, but with Lahore's fantastic public transport options, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well connected. If you're keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even some lesser-known nearby towns, you'll often find excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
