Me and my boyfriend decided to go to Mallorca for a quiet vacation and couldn't have been happier with the hotel. We stayed in the Apartments overlooking the ocean (the best views of the sea). Full kitchen (no oven though), living room, bedroom, and balcony. Apparently they only have two twin beds so you have to push them together if you want to sleep near each other. I was super impressed with the cleanliness of the place. No bugs, no mold, nothing. The pool was beautiful (not heated however) - there's a really nice bar with a terrace, half in the shade, so you can enjoy some cheap cocktails next to the pool or on the patio... or on your sunbed! It's a really short walk to a private beach or you can walk to the beach in Magaluff (don't believe the receptionists when they tell you it's a long walk - it's about a 15/20 minute walk along the ocean to Magaluff, very safe, great views, and a nice little workout that you usually don't get on vacation!).
The only downside is that you pretty much have to eat at the hotel unless you're willing to walk to Magaluff (or take the bus which FYI only comes about 6 times throughout the day and is hardly ever on time). But again, the walk isn't that bad. There's no restaurants in Cala Vinas. However the hotel food was pretty good. We stayed for dinner one night and considering it was a buffet (and unlimited wine), for what it cost it was actually a pretty good deal.
They have a spa which I wouldn't recommend. I paid a pretty high price for a pedicure which consisted of me sitting on an uncomfortable chair with my legs up on the beautician's lap, unable to communicate because I didn't speak Mallorcan!
The hotel people are really friendly and helpful. They speak all sorts of different languages. And the entertainers are really great.
All in all, I would recommend this hotel to people who want to go on a quieter vacation. The actual hotel part can be noisy at night which is why we opted for the apartments (Try and get the apartment with an ocean-view). But at the same time if you like to party a little, you can safely walk up to Magaluff which is like Spring Break in Cancun! I would NOT recommend booking a hotel in Magaluff unless you're going there for the party scene. It's noisy so you won't get any sleep!!
I would definitely stay there again! In sum it was clean, had great views, good food, a friendly staff, and great drink prices.
