Ancient streets glow with colourful lanterns illuminating centuries-old Chinese merchant houses in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Japanese Bridge stands as testament to the town's trading past, while the Thu Bon River offers perfect sunset boat rides. Sample Vietnam's best banh mi from street carts before exploring the Hoi An Historic Museum. The Ancient Town reveals a fascinating blend of Vietnamese and foreign architectural influences. When the lantern-shopping grows tiresome, escape to An Bang Beach or Cua Dai Beach for relaxation. Don't miss the nearby My Son ruins, a cluster of abandoned temples that provide a glimpse into the region's ancient Cham civilisation.

Hoi An Historic Hotel
"The property is very big and spacious with several buildings and open grounds and gardens, a large pool and its own spa. The breakfast buffet was great with so many local and continental options to choose from. The room was clean and had all the amenities but everything is just a little run down. The property could definitely use a renovation to be up to the 4-star standards it claims to offer. We had a few other issues: the curtains did not close completely nor was their material blackout, so light did pour into the room at sunrise. Also the street is very noisy in the mornings since there is a school nearby and we woke up every morning to the sound of screaming children. Likewise, the corridors within the hotel echo loudly so we could hear everyone passing by outside our room. Some sound-proofing is definitely needed for the rooms. Despite these drawbacks the hotel’s location is great. It’s on a less busy street just outside of the Old Town (a much calmer area than near the river!!). Accessible to cars (since some streets are pedestrian only which is very inconvenient with luggage). Right next to the Hoi An museum. Walking distance to Old Town and the sites to be seen there. Nearby custom-making tailors and leather-workers. Overall, the property is nice but with a little renovation it has the potential to be absolutely wonderful."
Little Riverside. A Luxury Hotel & Spa
"The staff at Little Riverside were so beautiful, kind and helpful. I will definitely be staying here again. The view of the river was great. Use of the bikes was super. The breakfast was sooooo yummy. Nothing was too much trouble."
The Signature Hoi An
"Nice amenities and very helpful staffs"
Yzistel Hoi An
"Very nice, great location, lovely staff. The rooms need better curtains, there is a lot of light bleed so maybe bring an eye mask (and earplugs for street noise)."
Allegro Hoi An. A Little Luxury Hotel & Spa
"We liked the layout of the interior of the hotel. We enjoyed the pool The breakfast was first rate and varied. The variety of Vietnamese and Western dishes left us full until dinner time. The coffee is great, as usual"
Anora Retreat Hoi An
"Booked for 2 nights had to leave early the staff were great about and counld not of been more helpful and concerned, A very handy spot to stay only a quick grab to old town and we walked back from Old Town i think about 800 metres.Breakfast was fine for a smaller pleace."
