We had an extremely unacceptable experience with JS Luxury through Expedia and I feel obligated to warn others.
Before arriving, we tried repeatedly to contact the owners to let them know we were running slightly late after a 4-hour drive. No one answered. At one point a man picked up and immediately hung up. We continued calling but received no response.
We arrived at the property around 10:30 PM and a security guard informed my mother that our stay had already been cancelled without any notice. We were completely stranded late at night after driving four hours. My mother tried again to contact them and even said, “please help, we are stranded here,” but they still did not respond. The moment she asked for a refund, they replied instantly with “Expedia has your money,” which was extremely dismissive and unprofessional.
We contacted Expedia for an emergency rebooking, but the calls kept dropping and the urgency of the situation was not taken seriously. By the time they mentioned the midnight check-in limit, the delays they caused had already pushed us past that time.
We ended up having to drive all the way back home with no help, no proper refund, and only the mandatory cleaning fee returned. This was beyond unacceptable and one of the worst travel experiences we’ve had.
