Overall the hotel and stay were very good. The majority of rooms with a balcony are on the west side of the building along the busy south pacific hwy. We got used to the steady traffic noise... ear plugs are provided and the air conditioner can drown it out. But there is a huge amount of outdoor space within an interior court yard around the pool and on the rooftop so you do not necessarily need to book a room with a balcony. The partial ocean view is mainly the road and hotel across the street. Great location quite close to a couple of smaller beach areas but walkable to main beach, Heisler Park and beaches beyond. Very nice cafes and restaurants near by. Upon our departure, Bruce assisted us greatly with tracking down an alternative car and providing helpful suggestions when our original transport to LAX cancelled last minute. We really appreciated that extra support.

The room was very minimal, cold and lacking any ambience. No photos on the wall old chair in the corner and that is all there was to sit on. The chairs on the deck were dirty and uncomfortable. For the price a total disappointment. Only plus was location and the bed was comfortable. I would not recommend this for a Laguna Beach stay.
