This place literally feels like you’re inside a magazine. It is absolutely stunning and well kept. We recently stayed at the Mitsis Alila and had an overall pleasant experience. The rooms were very clean, modern, and offered plenty of storage space, which made unpacking and settling in really convenient. If you’re booking, I’d highly recommend choosing a sea view room—the views of the crystal clear water and beach are absolutely worth it. All the staff were friendly, from reception to housekeeping and restaurant staff. That said, I would say this hotel felt more like a 4-star experience overall. The main restaurant buffet could be cleaner, and the quality of some food was disappointing—most of the bread was stale, for example the gyros, crepes, and hot dogs buns. Soft drinks were also often flat. Despite that, the beautiful beach, great staff, and clean, well-equipped rooms made this a relaxing and enjoyable stay. With a few improvements to the dining and beverage service, it could easily live up to its 5-star promise.
