Byron Bay and related destinations
At Australia's easternmost point, Cape Byron Lighthouse rewards hikers with panoramic ocean views where migrating whales breach in season. The Pass delivers world-class waves for experienced surfers, while beginners find patient instructors happy to share their passion for the perfect ride. Main Beach buzzes with barefoot energy, but locals slip away to Wategos Beach when crowds swell. Between surf sessions, explore Arakwal National Park's coastal trails or spot dolphins playing offshore. The town itself balances laid-back surf culture with an enthusiastic wellness scene that has attracted celebrities without sacrificing its bohemian soul. After sunset, musicians transform beach bars into impromptu concert venues where shoes remain strictly optional.

Wollongbar Motel
"Loved this motel. It was great. It was very close to the main town, and we were able to park our car outside our room and walk into the town. Byron Bay is fab. The staff at the hotel were amazing, really helpful and very responsive. We arrived late which they accommodated brilliantly. I would definitely recommend this motel."
Reflections Byron Bay - Holiday Park
"We booked a premium 2 bedroom villa. It totally exceeded our expectations. We needed help being shown how to lock the sliding door from the inside but apart everything was awesome. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. The villa had everything we needed for a week. No oven but a stove yop and microwave. It was calming, warm, cool, cosy, soundproof. Highly recommended. Totally in the best location to access the shops and Wategoes, right in the middle."
The Lord Byron
"Great location, friendly staff. Not cheap so that sets high expectations."
Glen Villa Resort
"This place is very well maintained and clean every time we have been."

The Surf House - Hostel
"Excellent all round - close to beach and town."
Waves Byron Bay
"The location is great, only a 2-3 mini walk to the beach. The rooms are very clean, modern and spacious, The bathroom was especially nice, very luxurious. The reception staff lady was very friendly and helpful."
Elements of Byron
"Wow! Such an amazing and tranquil stay for just the one night. The staff are professional and informative, the resort feels quiet and safe and I absolutely love how many available facilities there was. I would have loved to see the beach club bar open even in winter as the sunset was stunning and our shower and toilet rooms had visible black mould on the ceilings which was a bit concerning. The bathroom didn't have an exhaust fan which I think would go a long way. Other than this, I would definitely come back for a long stay."
Byron Central Apartments
"Parking was easy and safe. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, nice walk to the beach. Cafes and restaurants very close by "
