If you're planning a bit of sightseeing during your trip, head to Tanabu Shrine – just one of the landmarks located 9.5 mi (15.3 km) from central Mutsu.
Mutsu is well known for its attractions such as Mt. Osore and Osorezan-Bodaiji Temple. The city has something for everyone including sights like Mount Osore and Mutsushi Kamafuseyama within a sunny setting.
"I stayed here for 4 days in November.
The hotel is a short walk away from Aomori train station, close to several combini and surrounded by restaurants.
My room was fairly small but more than adequate for a solo traveller, although if you have a lot of luggage space may be a little limited. I liked the fact that the wondow in the room opens as I hate sleeping in an overly warm room.
I liked the bathroom unit, where I could shower without needing to climb into the tub.
The room had a mini fridge and kettle. The usual bathroom supplies that Japanese hotels almost always supply are available in the lobby, including slippers and bath salts. Hotel wifi was excellent.
The hotel has 2 washing machines plus 2 dryers and they worked well when I used them a couple of times. There is also an ice machine and vending machine with a variety of drinks. In the hotel room was a reusable water bottle and there are water dispensers on each floor, which I thought was a much better idea than providing free water in plastic bottles.
Breakfast is in a lovely large room and the variety of food available was impressive and of good quality.
I'd happily stay in this hotel again if I return to Aomori."
"Hotel is situated a distance from the train station.
I would not recommend this hotel unless you are staying for more than 1 night.
Rooms are well size and very clean.
Bed is comfortable too"
"The hot spring is nice. There are a lot of free stuffs serving at 21.00 - 23.00 (ramen, apple juice and ice cream). The room was cleaned properly everyday. Foods serving on breakfast are delicious."
"Restaurant on-site required reservation so could not dine there. Fortunately, the staff who handled our check-in gave us very good suggestions on where to dine as we reached the hotel after 8 pm. Complimentary water, apple juice and cookies were nice extras. Liquid soap, shampoo, etc., were good and produced locally. Beds and beddings were very comfortable"
"I’m a regular at this hotel. I didn’t eat breakfast due to being a late sleeper. I had eaten breakfast here in the past and it was very good. I recommend. Wifi is strong. The Lawsons (konbini) is in the first floor of the building. An international ATM is there and you can recharge your PASMO & SUICA card at the ATM. "
