"Extremely comfortable and clean, with oddities. We had a one bedroom apartment with a huge living room and bedroom, the tiniest bathroom imaginable and a skinny dining room. The kitchen could be a bit better stocked -- bring your own paper towels, and the cereal bowls are very small. The kitchen is also in need of renovation, things are getting a little funky, but everything was very clean. Bed was incredibly comfortable, couches were comfortable and lots of lamps for reading and cozy lounging. Staff were very pleasant and the neighbourhood was great -- right in the centre of things but off a main road, so quieter. We were able to walk to restos, LCBO, grocery store, etc. Underground parking was easy, too. We really liked this place -- even if it could do with a bit of remodel -- and will hope to stay there next time we're in Ottawa."
"The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were impressed with the comfort of the room. The breakfast was very good with many choices. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. "
"A lovely classic old hotel, albeit one in the midst of significant renovation. That said, surprisingly good value in an expensive hotel city and very well located for anything you might need in Byward Market, University of Ottawa and downtown/Centretown."
