"I wonder which institution determines the number of stars because with regard to this hotel Fletcher Marijke in Bergen, people are quite wrong. The small room was known but a bathroom of very minimal size, no cold shower water, no balcony, no air conditioning or mechanical ventilation in the room, mattresses too soft, parking fee 7.50 per day, no swimming pool, you wonder where it is 4 star rating ? comes from. That will not only be based on the staff and breakfast because that was great !"

"Pleasant staff, comfortable room, good temperature and quiet. I was surprised I couldn't leave my luggage prior to check-in as the luggage room was full, but this didn't cause me too much angst. Would recommend and stay again if in Alkmaar"

"The hotel was really good for the price. The service was amazing, the personnel helped whenever there was an issue. For example we needed extra towels to go to the beach and got them without a problem. Also the cleaning service did a good job. The room was tidied every day. However, the room itself was rather dark, especially the bathroom. From the hotel you can go everywhere you need in 10 minutes or less by bike.
