"This place is just amazing. The staff was welcoming and super nice and helpful, and spoke excellent English. The breakfast was by far the best we've had in Turkey or anywhere else for that matter, with many kinds of cheeses and cold cuts, pastries, fresh fruits and vegetables, delicious cookies, cakes and juices. "Beautiful location and outlook. (Standard) room was small but very clean with comfortable bed and decently designed. Service was very helpful and friendly, if sometimes less than slick. Food was pretty good and we very much appreciated efforts to cater for a gluten free diet (they made fries in fresh oil for us every day). The pool area is lovely with stunning views. The ‘beach’ is beautifully situated but small. Easy to get into town. We had a very nice week."

"I had visited Kalkan on four previous occasions and enjoyed the lovely bar at the Elixir Hotel, although I had never stayed here. "We found the hotel to largely be good. Great pool and rooms although a bit of a walk uphill from town. Breakfast was good, but the coffee was as I think another person on here said, awful. A few downsides, which I didn’t have the energy to raise with staff, were the fan in our room was broken, the AC only had one setting and was partially broken, and the drainage in our bathroom smelt awful, stinking out the room.
