"We stayed in one of the Maxwell 2-person villas. Lovely accommodation, extremely comfortable and spacious. just a step away from shop (groceries and gifts) and restaurant, both very good. Especially appreciated that most items on the restaurant menu had gluten-free options. Would definitely stay again."

and the bed was very comfortable.
The staff were friendly and would come round in the morning and offer extra tea/coffee etc.
Although the food doesn't sell any food you are allowed it in the rooms and there are several stores/cafes/take-aways etc. Close at hand( mind some are closed Monday and Tuesday evenings). The Coop in the village is open until 11pm."

"Lovely location and views but the overall experience was quite average.
The service throughout was slow, slightly chaotic and disappointing.
The hotel bar struggled to serve a drink at 11pm and it lacked atmosphere.
Breakfast time wasn’t great - we had been sitting for 20 mins before even a glass of water was produced. My scrambled eggs were grainy, odd textured and inedible.

"Booked the annexe, on arriving looked pretty grim, but inside was clean and welcoming, we got upgraded to the main hotel due to an error on room allocation. The staff were all friendly, pleasant and the hotel was clean. It is in need of some upgrading, improvments, but for the price we paid it was worth it. The restaurant was clean, space between tables, the food was okay, we only ate in one night. We enjoyed a game of pool. Overall we would go back, nice and central. "

friendly hotel. Our pup had a great time and so did we! Sun and sheep showed up and cheered up the day! Loved the pool, sauna and steam room! Best black pudding I have had on the breakfast buffet. "
