Short Sweet Stay
Our stay was created as a Business and Pleasure affair! Husband had a Business Christmas Party at Shedd, and Wifey, just needed a place to chill, eat, and watch the UT OSU playoff game in style... ( hubby was jealous!) Was very pleased with the room, very large, with a gorgeous Navy Pier view, and a great relaxing chair with comfy footstool to watch the game and gaze out the expansive window to gaze at a Winter White Navy Pier and Lake Michigan! Although, needing some food, not wanting to order room service, spent some quality time downstairs at Amuse, the lobby bar, and was happy to lounge and engage lively chat with Mario and Pancho! They made my experience at the bar fun, and my drink, a French 75, was perfect (despite no orchid flourish!), and blackbean and chicken quesadillas were just the right choice to return to the room and watch the game! I could go on about this hotel and the staff, who were always pleasant from our arrival to departure! The hotel room price was right, but must admit... Too expensive for valet $87.00 or 75 or so, for self park. For a 1 night stay it is just a wee bit steep. It was a fantastic stay nonetheless, and we would highly recommend Swissotel to anyone wishing for a pleasurable visit to explore Downtown Chicago!

Good stay (with pause)
Stayed a couple nights to solo celebrate my coming birthday. It was relaxing. Though I’m irritated they charged a resort fee of $25/night and said I’d get $15/night back if I ate at their Amuse cafe downstairs, but it wasn’t open one of the nights, so I got charged with no recourse. But outside that the stay was great

The hotel is actually great. The only issue I had was the room designation. We were in room 402 but I paid specifically for the Swiss Pinnacle room because we wanted be high up but that didn’t happen.

Room 2302 has an issue with toilet or adjoining 1.
I only rated it as a 1 for the category that best aligns with maintenance because there was an issue in room 2302. I’m not sure if there are certain rooms that they assign those who book through 3rd party vendors, but my experience was not a luxury one at the price I paid. I messaged the hotel at 2 AM after being awakened by noise from the toilet area. After sending the maintenance people up twice, the 2nd time it was surmised it must be the toilet in the room next to me making so much noise when flushed. Heck, it sounded like it was in the bathroom, in my room.
