Superb Onsen and friendly staff with good service!
Am very impressed with the service this hotel offers. I requested an early deposit of luggage a day earlier as I have a late arrival from a day trip to Wakkanai. When I arrive for check in at 11.45pm, the luggage was already moved to my room and not reception area! This surprised me!
The hotel location is perfect for a stroll walk to Susukino and the onsen is superb too!
Breakfast spread was marvellous and friendly staff in the hotel which also included the chef cooking the omelette for me!
Will definitely come back for a stay in this hotel next winter !

Classic style hotel in Sapporo
One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Sapporo! The staff was very helpful in expediting some holiday gift packages. Very gracious helpful staff and an old world charm at this hotel, I am now a big fan of the Monterey brand because of their Sapporo team. Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful hotel
The hotel is beautiful, clean and well located about a 10 minute walk from the bustling Sususkino district. The room was typically efficient for a Japanese hotel. The bed was very firm and while I found it comfortable, I can imagine some would find it too hard. The sobakawa pillow was wonderful. The only downside of the room was a lack of individual air conditioning. When I asked at the front desk, it was suggested that I open the window. While this cooled the room down, it was too noisy at night. The bath spa was magnificent, one of the best I have ever experienced in Japan. And the spa staff was so wonderful. Despite all the positives of this hotel, I think the lack of temperature control would preclude a return visit.

Stayed in mid October and the room was unbelievably hot and the only option was to have someone from the front desk unlock a window. At night we heard cars constantly so we had no choice but to close the window.
Nice that they have lots of weddings but the elevators and elevator halls were frequently jammed which was very frustrating.
Breakfast buffet was good.
Staff communication issue led to a huge misunderstanding. We confirmed the bill the night before and we were told that there was nothing to pay. This morning, as we were getting into a taxi to the airport, which the hotel had arranged, we were chased by the staff for payment of a local call for about $.25. As we were getting onto the highway for the airport, the cab company called the driver to say that we had left without paying our bill so the driver had to stop the car! We called the hotel, at our expense, and put the phone on speaker so the driver could hear that there was in fact no issue. Ridiculous and frustrating to say the least.

The staff were very courteous and professional. The hotel's location between the main train station and Odori Park with its three subway line connections made it an ideal base of operations for seeing Sapporo's sites.

Wonderful experience from check in to check out. Stellar rooms, staff, and overall property. Breakfast buffet was fantastic, our best in Hokkaido, in terms of quality of ingredients, variety of options, presentation, and running of the dining room. 10/10 recommend.

Centrally located, nice lobby and staff. Breakfast buffet included had many options, great quality. Rooms were older than anticipated but clean and roomy enough. Located close to Sapporo Station, Odori Park, Nijo Fish Market, and Tanukikoji Shopping Center. Family friendly!
