Enjoyable stay
I had an enjoyable stay at the hotel. Staff very helpful and ideally located. Free coffee and fruit included without purchasing breakfast which was a nice touch. Hotel only has 2 lifts and 1 was out of service, so was forced to wait far too long for the lift whenever it was needed. Would also suggest the room doors are looked at, as they made a very loud slamming sound when closing, which woke me up on a couple of evenings.

Upon entering the hotel, I was not greeted and the receptionist checking me in was not friendly. One of the front doors was out of service. Out of two elevators, only one was operating. When I got to my floor, lighting was dark and the flooring/walls looked beat up. The room was not to my liking either. I have trusted Hilton with many of my stays. I was extremely disappointed by this hotel.

Very MEH
The hotel lobby is fine, but the woman who checked me in was busy taking to another employee behind her when I arrived and didn't acknowledge me for several minutes. When she did finally check me in she barely said two words and didn't make me feel welcome at all. The room was clean enough but not well lit. Some of the lights (like those above the coffee pot) didn't have working switches so I had to unplug them. The bed wasn't super comfortable but the AC/heat worked well enough. The bathroom was nice. But the WORST part of this hotel was the elevator situation. There are two small elevators and one of them was out of service the whole time I was there. The cleaning staff has to take that same small elevator (no service elevator?????) and all the cars took forever, so when one would finally arrive it would often have a cleaner with a large cart meaning there was no room for anyone else. Being on the 16th floor I expected to wait, but I averaged 15 minutes wait EVERY TIME I used the elevator which is not sustainable for a business trip.

It's fine
The location is excellent and customer service was friendly and helpful. The hotel is dated and in need of some updates - but for the price and location, it's just fine. The issue we had during our stay was the elevator which was extremely slow or completely unusable. Luckily we were on the 7th floor, which was still quite difficult for me to take the stairs to and from as I have a bad knee. But some people were on the 20th floor and higher, so I was just grateful to not be on one of those floors. The room is basic but the bed was comfortable.

Just okay
The location was great, a short walk to a subway station on the same street. One of two elevators broke during our stay and having around 20 floors of rooms with one elevator (that ran very slow to begin with) was not ideal. We even took the stairs down from 18 levels at one point because it was taking over 15 min to get to us. We also booked a king room but were “upgraded” to a double queen without our consent because they overbooked king rooms. This wasn’t ideal especially on our 2nd wedding anniversary trip. You can hear EVERYTHING happening in the rooms next to you as well as outside noise which doesn’t ever quiet down obviously cause it’s New York.

7 days stay during NYE
The hotel’s location is convenient, with easy access to amenities and metro stations. While the hotel is good, the room size does not justify the expense; it is perceived as quite expensive. The hotel is in need of refurbishment. I would recommend to skip the breakfast if it’s not included in your package, as there are many nearby restaurants and diners offering similar options at comparable prices. Half of our stays we got back to the hotel after midnight and there were no staff members at the reception after 2 a.m., which raised security concerns for the guests staying at the hotel. Overall If you're looking for a more special, modern, and secure option, it’s recommended to explore other hotels in the same street.

Great location, friendly staff
Landed super early from a red eye flight with kids. Front desk was kind enough to let my kids crash in a spare room. Overall staff was nice and accommodating. Booked a double queen room which seems rare in NYC that is also affordable. Room (4th floor) itself was a bit cold even with the heater turned up as there was a breeze coming from the window during a cold freeze. Spare room on a different floor seem not as cold. Location was near several subway lines. Outside of the hotel could use some work, saw a homeless person taking a dump out front in a bush up on check in (not the hotel's fault)

The location was good, very central to a lot of things. The hotel in itself needs some up keeping. Shower was very dirty, still have previous hotel guests hair. Yuck! The carpets are very old and stained. Bedding needs replacing. You can see mattress and the sheets looked very old. At least put a bed skirt so it doesn’t look too bad. The walls are very thin, you can hear EVERYTHING!!! Every morning we heard the service lady on the phone screaming and having a conversation when we were trying to get some rest. Anyway, the hotel really needs improvement. I will say front desk was always kind. Thank you
