Overall a good stay, staff was friendly. First night was on the first floor and had a bad experience, had cockroches and lizards in our room. I complained to office and they moved us to the 2nd floor. After that had no problems and a great clean room. Would recommended HOWEVER, NO AC! So if thats a problem don't stay here. Its a must to have a car. Very limited and expensive busses or shuttles. Hotel in not near San Jose or major hubs. But the views and pool are beautiful. Would rate 3.5 out of 5 stars overall.

I had an excellent stay at the Canal Grande Lodge. The staff were wonderful, really friendly and helpful and the hotel was spotless with large spacious rooms. En contra: MUY caluroso el cuarto en horario vespertino, NO HAY A/C. NO HAY TV CABLE. Al utilizar la ducha el agua se riega por todo el baño, simplemente NO HAY NINGÚN ELEMENTO QUE LO IMPIDA. El lavamanos se inunda. El desayuno muy pequeño, claramente corto. Pocas opciones para comer en las cercanías.
