Thank you The Fish and Anchor

Can’t fault our stay - everything was perfect, food was excellent, friendly staff ( especially Joyce- must run on super charged batteries, thank you) It was a perfect stay, only one criticism the karaoke run to 2 o’clock one morning and we were above it !

Had a really nice stay. The staff were friendly and the room was well looked after. It is in a lovely rural location with riverside and hillside walks and views.

Lovely stay at the the fish and anchor inn, glad we booked the apartment room with en-suite, food was lovely and we had lovely weather

Nice pub accommodation but not ensuite.

The room was lovely and clean. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The downer (scoring comfort as 2*) was the shared bathroom. The description was misleading on this front and acknowledged by those who welcomed me on arrival.

Really friendly and welcoming. Even offered to keep the kitchen open for me. Clean and comfy room. Lovely view over the river. Plenty of parking. I had a great night’s sleep and there was a spacious kitchen with tea and coffee available. Plenty of parking!

Fine for the price. Great food at The Ivy pub in the next village.

Great place, if you like karaoke until 1.15 am

Lovely welcome on check in. Apartment spacious and comfortable. However bedroom was above area in the pub where karaoke started at approx 10.30pm ending at 1.15am. Not the best nights sleep. Nice bar area and food in the restaurant was good apart from the wait. Waitress and bar tender very apologetic about delays, and felt sorry for them. Somewhere we may have considered returning to prior to karaoke time!

This is my second stay here and I will definitely be back. Friendly staff and great atmosphere..

Nice area, nice pub, need more staff..

We opted for a small apartment with aun suite, shared kitchen, no wifi, for an extra £40. Not bad but could do better. I defrosted the frozen up fridge freezer after someone left the door open on the freezer.

Disappointed with stay nether mind karaoke night!

When booking a double room on hotels.com it did not make clear it was a SHARED bathroom. Had i knew i wouldn't have bothered. Only knew when bnb confirmed booking by then couldn't cancle so hoped for best! Only plus was comfortable bed. Knew on first stop to sed shared toiled that it was going to run out off roll. Checked all cupboards no spare shockingly. Even pub toilet was locked luckily always have some in van but shouldn't be necessary at a bnb! Dont advise

Really pleased on arrival as we were upgraded, as didn’t realise it wasn’t on suite until the day before. which is a priority for me. The apartment that we were given was. Could do with a bit more attention to detail with cleanliness , nothing major. We ate in the restaurant, food was good. Staff were very accommodating and couldn’t do enough for you. Would definitely stay again.

I honestly couldn't have asked for anything else, beautiful friendly staff, lovely clean room, very comfortable. Being upstairs from an actual pub i expected a little noise, i slept like a baby. Also such a great view of the river from my room. Thanks to everyone who made me feel at home away from home X

Very average, stayed overnight on business trip. DIdnt realise that most rooms not ensuite. Room a bit warm but large extractor fan outside so kept you awake if window open. Potential to be a decent place. Not recommended for couples.

A fantastic setting, by the river Avon over looking a weir, nice sound and wildlife to watch. Very warm welcome, spotless, crisp bed linen and very comfortable. Well finished and clean bathroom and kitchen with ample tea, coffee and milk in fridge. Excellent food with a choice to suit all tastes and largely locally sourced. Staff very helpful and pleasant, all in all great value for money and a good place to relax. Would definitely stay here again.
Peter, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The bed was comfortable and the food was great. Thw staff were great too. The only let down was very loud karaoke both nights I was there that went on until after 11 and made it impossible to sleep. Had I known about this before booking I likely would have booked elsewhere.
Anna, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

My fourth stay here and I have just re booked. There is a shared bathroom but this is reflected in the room price, locally you can expect to pay at least double if not triple the rate offered here. Always comfortable bed a fresh clean sheets & Duvets. Friendly, professional staff and you get 10% discount on food & drink in the bar. Massive car park on site. See you soon!
