Walsingham Shrine Visit
Location excelent but parking limited. Public parking is some way away. Breakfast good. Decent pub food at fair prices. Room 5 had a good view over the Church in winter quiet except for brief visit by large noisy Church group ! Building is old so expect that. Walsingham is unique and I certainly prefer the Black lion to the other Pub.

The staff definitely cared and the food was magnificent. Slap bang in the middle of Walsingham. Lovely ancient authentic hotel - watch your head.

Fabulous pub and food
Room perfect for visiting Walsingham. In a pub serving great food for both evening meal and breakfast. Room was a bit small and dated. It’s a period property so low ceilings etc but still could be better. Staff lovely.

Overall the room was comfortable and bed cosy. Room clean and had everythong you need for an overnight stay.
Very limited parking so it was a bit of a fuss to park in the pay amd display up the road, but ended up ok in the end.
Staff not overly friendly at breakfast when she was unable to serve a table of 4 at the same time as we had two separate bedrooms, so we ate at different times, which was a shame.
The food was very nice, but wasnt really impressed with young lady serving.

Lovely setting and the property is now under new management so there's a "younger"feel to the property. Restaurant and food very good. Breakfast good but an option of a "continental " style breakfast would be nice for those guests who prefer something lighter. Bikes were locked in safe place.

The only drawback was that the hotel was classified as pet friendly but, although dogs are allowed in the bar and restaurant, they are not allowed in the bedrooms. Our dog had to spend the night in the car!

Comfortable bed and friendly staff.
The only difficulty we had was the stairs were a bit difficult for my husband who needs a walking stick. Some of the ceilings were low but staff pointed these out. The ensuite was quite small. It was quaint and the surroundings were lovely. We also found it hard to get a signal for the satnav and apparently it's common there. Worth working out the route just in case.
